From 2025–26, compulsory study-loan repayments use marginal rates. Repayments begin only once repayment income exceeds the minimum threshold, with higher marginal rates applying as income rises.
Repayment income can be higher than taxable income
Repayment income may include taxable income plus reportable super contributions, reportable fringe benefits, net investment losses and exempt foreign employment income. The calculator provides optional fields for these adjustments.
